Rusty Mixed Media Project

Rusty Mixed Media Project "NATURE & HUMAN CIVILISATION"

I am presenting my latest work i.e. an altered canvas with handmade paper mache mask on summer theme. Summer means rich green colour everywhere but my work conveys otherwise 'destructions of green'. It's true that day by day civilisation, human encroachment and industrialisation are destroying our greenery. We know that we must save trees and we should not destroy waterbodies, marshlands for making high risers but still we are on the verge destroying everything natural around. In return we are getting polluted air to breath and drinking water scarcity. This canvas is a metaphor of industrialisation and so called development which are brain child of humans who are now with deformed, rusty and lifeless face continuing the destruction and nature is trying to prevail dearly.

My work is inspired from one of my favourite work of olya kravets and I hope my work conveyed that above mentioned message.

"Wilderness" Mixed Media Project

"WILDERNESS" Mixed Media Project

I am presenting my recent work i.e. an altered canvas. The door to the wilderness. We are going through a difficult time with pandemic. But a mere lockdown for few months brought a positive change to our natural world. Nature can rejuvenate herself if we stop polluting it. Through my work I tried to portray what I think. To save this planet we need to make every possible effort to save her. I tried to visualize the obstructions by placing barbed wire and chains in front of the door. We need to rectify our mistakes and we can overcome the obstruction and may enter the door by eliminating all the difficulties. This pandemic in a positive perspective gave us an opportunity to rectify our faults and take some responsibilities to save our Mother Earth. We start from remembering the famous song of Michael Jackson i.e. “heal the world, make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race”. It’s high time to etch those lines in our heart and act, so we can gift our future a greener pasture to breathe and thrive.
This is the door to the wilderness, to the pureness, to the unaltered, to survival, for the saviors.
I am entering for June month, 2020 challenge @splashymix challenge18. #splashymixchallenge18

Mixed Media Tag

Mixed Media Tag

I am sharing my recent work i.e. a mixed media tag inspired by the theme of current month’s challenge @nomadicsouldiaries .Inspiration quote of June month’s challenge is “Go out and paint the STARS”. So as a crafter and avid lover of artwork that particular quote awestruck me. This quote is from a poem inspired by a letter written by Vincent Van Gogh in context of his one of classic creations, ‘STARRY NIGHT’ where the legendary painter describing his needs for religion and when he needed that terribly he always went out and painted the stars. This is a wonderful metaphor as he described his deep concept of need of religion when he was being treated at an asylum.

My quote for this tag is “Finding a beautiful place to get lost’. Being an artist we all let our imaginations fly away from the day to day realities of mechanical life. We dwell with realities but at the time of creation, we escape to a dreamland of imagination to get lost momentarily.
I tried to ‘go out & paint’ and ‘get lost’ to find a beautiful place to convey my message through the elements, colours, textures.
I am participating for @nomadicsouldiaries June, 2020 challenge.

Products I have used for this tag are:- Sand texture paste @CrafTangles.

White heavy gesso @Papericious.

Used some sparkle gold, silver and white embossing powder for background of immix.

Few molds from Cogs and wings @Finnabair_studio .
Dew drops @icraft_design .

Few other products from my stash.

Mixed Media Project For Nomadic Soul Diaries

Rainbow Mixed Media Project

I am sharing my recent mixed media layout. Focal points of this project are dragonfly and butterflies. This month’s inspiration word is “funny” and this word reminds me of some fun filled moments of my childhood.
Most of the time I used to play with friends to catch dragonflies and butterfies. I used to tie a thread to dragonfly’s legs and follow it. I wanted to identify them by various coloured threads. We loved to catch butterfles with a net just to watch their gorgeous colours so that we can give them various names by their colours. And after seeing the colours and naming each, we always freed them all at a time and watch them flying away, spreading their wings like sprinkling colors of a rainbow in a blink of an eye.
These were some of my fun filled memories which can never fade away and again I cherished those with my work this time.

I am participating for May month, 2020 main challenge of more than words blog i.e. “Word Inspiration - FUNNY

Guest DT Project

Guest DT Project For Splashymix Challenge Blog

I am sharing my project for Splashymix May month challenge here. My inspiration quote for this project is “Love  Comforteth Like  Sunshine  After  Rain” -  William Shakespeare.

There are so many bright and vibrant colours in the colour palettes of this mood board that cheer up the mind. Being a huge fan of classic literature, that particular quote from a famous poem of Shakespeare inspired me to create this project. As we know, the sunshine (love) is comforting after a storm because it is warm, bright, calm just like the set of colours of mood board.

Spring Mixed Media Work

Spring Mixed Media Work

“Everyday” we want to wake up from the bed listening to the chirping of the birds and this happens more frequently in spring season as then the Mother Nature is at her best with green everywhere, flowers blooming and her secret denizens make themselves apparent. Spring always brings fascinating colours to the Mother Nature and hope for us. It reminds us that everyday is a new beginning so we should cherish every moment specially when we are going through a dire situation due to the pandemic worldwide.

I am sharing my recent project inspired by more than words blog April month’s main challenge theme i.e. ‘everyday & bugs and birds’, an altered photo frame portraying spring theme.
For the first time I have worked with dried tea dust from tea bag to give little more texture to the sand texture paste for brick stencil work. In the background there are works of decoupage, stamping and little bit of stencil with glimmer paste. I gave this photo frame around five layers with net, chipboard, few fussy cuts of printed flowers, bird and few twigs with nylon string. Basically I tried to bring out the splendours of spring.

I am participating for April month, 2020 main challenge of more than words blog i.e. “Word Inspiration - EVERYDAY
Creative Challenge - BUGS AND BIRDS”
